Dr Saif Hamdoon is a Specialist Geriatrician with extensive clinical experience across Australia. He completed his medical degree in Jordan before undertaking his physician training in Australia. His career has included working across three Australian states, with experience in rural, regional and metropolitan healthcare settings, giving him a broad understanding of the diverse needs of older people and the healthcare systems that support them.

Dr Hamdoon is currently a Staff Specialist Geriatrician at Flinders Medical Centre (FMC) and also works as a Visiting Medical Officer (VMO) at Calvary Adelaide Hospital and Calvary North Adelaide Hospital.

His clinical practice is grounded in a patient-centred and holistic approach, with a strong focus on understanding each patient’s individual goals, functional status, medical needs and quality of life. He has broad interests across geriatric medicine, including the assessment and management of frailty, cognitive impairment, delirium, falls, complex medical conditions and functional decline in older people.

He is also passionate about education, multidisciplinary care and improving outcomes for older adults, particularly through comprehensive and individualised geriatric assessment.
